Next on he list was Jaipur, the "pink city" We stayed for two days and wandered happily through the many bazaars visited the impressive Observatory, built in 1728, the City Palace and the museum. We shopped for souvenirs and went to Amber Fort, a magnificent old Citadel a short distance from Jaipur.We were taken up to the Fort on the back of an elephant! We even had time to wash some clothes before moving on to Samode. |
