it knocks spots of all the rest an'

it's the WESTERN SOCIAL CLUB, the leading light.

Thirty years ago it started in the West

without name or fame and we all know the rest.

And we plan to grow much stronger

Plan to go much longer ,

with the social club that we all love the best.

Gillian was the leading force in days gone past

making sure the WESTERN SOCIAL CLUB would last

every phone call, every letter

made the club get so much better

and the membership was growing very fast

There's been Irene, Marlene, Des in our front rank

There's been Bob and Peg and Joan and there's been Hank

There was Pauline, Ros and Nonie

Lois, Jim and Toni,

and there's dozens more besides who we can thank.

Parties, dances and discussions by the score,

music nights and BBQ's and treats galore.

And a whole new generation

joins in the celebration

with the social club that offers so much more.

Several hundred names you've written in the book

from all walks of life you've come, from ev'ry nook;

some are handsome, some are beauties

some are boring, bald or cuties.

But we love you all, no matter how you look.

Some have left, departed, married, gone away.

We remember as we celebrate today.

All the ones who've gone before us

all the ones no longer with us.
